This letter is to inform you that as of November 30, 2012, Everett Square Sporting Goods Company will be closing its doors forever.

We deeply regret this decision but several factors have contributed to our ultimate decision. The economic downturn in the retail sector, the high cost of healthcare, tax increases for corporations, and increasing overhead expenses are the main reasons for our decision. Sixty-five years is a long run for a small business to operate.

We are grateful to our late father Anthony ‘Tony’ Ventura, the founder of Everett Square Sporting Goods Company. He taught us that customers appreciate great service, honesty, and fair prices. At Everett Square Sporting Goods, we’ve always taken pride in providing complete customer service the old-fashioned way.

We have made many dear friends throughout the U.S. and Canada over the past six decades. We appreciate your loyalty over the many years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
